Formerly known as the "Airrail Center Frankfurt", "THE SQUAIRE" is a 660-meter-long, 45-meter-high office building in Frankfurt am Main, built above the existing railway station at Frankfurt Airport with direct access to Terminal 1. The impressive total rental area of 140,000 m² qualifies THE SQUAIRE as the largest office building in Germany (source: FAZ).
The architecture office JSK took over the planning for the 1.25 billion euro conversion.
For a building of this size everything has to be right - the ventilation is also based on a sophisticated concept of electrical climate control and natural Ventilation - people feel better with fresh air. Air exchange of up to 80% within a few minutes, and there are none of the risks of falling that are associated with regular casement windows.
Three different HAHN Louvre Window types with 1270 louvres are integrated into the numerous glass facades of THE SQUAIRE as functional parts of the building design.

Due to the low space requirement in the building interior, no valuable office space is lost and the premises can be fully utilized. This is not only practical and safe, it also saves money: with commercial rental prices between € 14-27 per m² in large German cities, an open louvre window frontage for ventilation can already make a positive difference.
