Planned by ACS Design Studio Co.,Ltd., the orientation of the building takes into account the local characteristics of the location and combines them with the high demands of the residents. Thus, from a floor area of 3,548 m², more than 30,000 m² of exclusive living space will ultimately be created in Bangkok's city center.
Not only with their 7 meters floor height per floor, the luxurious apartments in the Windshell Naradhiwas stand out compared to the neighboring high-rise buildings in the city center in Bangkok. Through a garden area with lounge character and a library in the lobby, you can reach your apartment - available from 2.4 million euros - on the floors above the parking area. The building is crowned with a top-class wellness area: a large pool with a separate children's area, yoga room, steam sauna, communal kitchen, fitness studio, another garden and a multifunctional area for the use of individual residents or groups.
Each apartment has its own custom-designed garden on either side of the building, giving the tower its nickname of "Thailand's first tropical stacking home".
The building concept envisages clearly structured apartments between 450 and 1,015 m² with high-quality, clear and durable materials.
For lighting and ventilation, it was clear from the first planning phase that the natural sunlight should be used in the best possible way here, together with the air currents of the region at this altitude. Accordingly, the large window areas are designed in such a way that the residents are accompanied during the course of the day: from the view of the sunrise when leaving the apartment to the view of the setting sun after a day at work. At the same time, the planner would like to encourage the residents not only to regulate the temperature in the apartment with air conditioning, as is so often the case, but instead to also rely on natural ventilation.
For this purpose, precise analyzes of the air flows around the building were prepared in advance of the planning and the tower was placed, constructed and aligned exactly according to these specifications.
40no of HAHN louvre windows type S9-iVt-05, each more than 5 meters high, were installed on both sides of the apartments, so that a quick and safe exchange of air is possible here during the day or at night without direct drafts.
Together with MBM Metalworks Bangkok, the most suitable operation for the louvre windows was found, which consists of a combination of hand levers with an opening angle of 79° in the lower area and gears with a removable crank in the upper area of the louvre windows. This means that the slats can be opened and closed at any time, completely independently of an existing power supply.
